Writing Update

Starting exactly five days from now you’ll be able to buy my story The God’s Spire at JMS Books. Some of you might have read an early pre-editing (hell, pre-finished) portion of the story when it was up here on the Ledger, but for those of you who haven’t: it’s the story of Raffiel, the so-called Butcher Poet of Presidia (a tower also known as the God’s Spire). He’s known for his unscrupulous, unforgiving ways and when his domain is invaded by an equally uncompromising lord, Raffiel and his trusted warlords have to figure out how to survive the threat.

The story contains elements of romance and a couple scenes of the man-sex, but I think it does an admirable job avoiding easy sentimentality. It comes out on May 20th and for the first week it’s available at 20% off, so pick it up early!

I’m also working hard on the Joining the League series. The third installment is already nearly finished and sees the team working to come together while Nick struggles to master his power. I just want to say that I’m really encouraged by the feedback so far on this story. Feel free to keep them coming and let me know what you’d like to see more of.

There’s also a couple of other things in the works that hopefully will be really cool, but I’m starting to learn that it’s best to keep a lid on projects that haven’t fully blossomed yet. I’ll content myself with saying that if it works out, it will be pretty fun.
