Fixes and Fuckses

Dear world,

How are you? It’s been a while since we’ve had an informal chat. You’re doing well, I trust? World, let’s cut to the nitty gritty. Here’s a quick rundown of “THINGS”:

— Unfortunately work on my interactive adventure game Noblesse Oblige has to be slowed down significantly. I was aiming for a March release, but I’ve realized that the issues I need to work on are way above my head in terms of code and I need a long time or some good help in order to sort them out. I’m short on both.

— Fortunately, I’ve started work on another piece of interactive gay erotic fiction to tide you over called, elegantly, Fuck That Guy. Incredibly clever title I know, but this one won’t exactly be subtle. Look for that in about a week.

— My book Candid is out now and available in print or ebook format. If you’re a Chicagoan, you can also pick it up at Quimby’s Bookstore (1854 W. North Ave., Chicago IL). Apparently it’s been hanging out with the new releases. My book is so incorrigible.

— My epic fantasy serial Chevalier is being serially reviewed at Brief Encounters Review. The first three have been reviewed so far. You can read those here: 1) Weeping Spear, 2) The Salt Rose, 3) The Selfish Eye. And you can buy Chevalier at JMS Books, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and elsewhere.

— Oh, and also, if you’ve played Traveler recently you might have encountered a broken link. I know at least one person did by looking through my site stats. It’s fixed now. Sorry ’bout that.

   So stoked for Fuck That Guy. I loved Traveler, and love interactive gay erotic fiction as a whole.

   Will enjoy Noblesse Oblige regardless of when it comes out, I’m sure. What most gaming companies don’t get is that a good game is worth waiting for when the finished product turns out better. ^_^

   Bought Candid and love it. Intend to write a full review sometime. Probably be a while, but still. It’s awesome.

   Keep up the incredible work. ^_^

     Thank you kindly, sir. I’m just trying to make cool shit. That’s pretty much it. 😛

     I think Noblesse Oblige will be cool when it comes out, but you’re right about releasing things that aren’t ready. The quality suffers and why release shitty work if you’re really invested in it?

     Anyway, Fuck That Guy is going well. The architecture is pretty much written (CSS, HTML, etc.) and now I just have to do the writing. I’m hating the first draft so far, but there’s plenty of time to turn things around.

     Thanks for buying Candid! I’m definitely looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
